Are We Wasting Our Time?

Have you ever failed at something and walked away telling yourself that it was a big waste of time? Wondering if you made the right choice and regret a decision you made in your past? If you have, it’s okay and perfectly natural. Whether we admit it to ourselves or not, we have all failed from time to time and felt like we wasted our time. As J.K. Rowling (author of Harry Potter) once said:

“Some failure in life is inevitable. It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you have lived so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case, you have failed by default.”

With that said, the question to follow is, “Are we wasting our time when we come across these failures?”

The only way we can waste our time is if we fail to learn from all of our experiences. Experiences, no matter how big or small, we can all learn from.

Turn the negative feeling of wasting time into a positive by using it as an opportunity to learn.

As long as we continue trying to learn and find the positive in every situation, we will never waste our time. You will never waste your time.

Tough breakup? Fired? Failed to weigh in at that certain weight? Didn’t make the grade? Had an argument with someone you care about? Did not give it your all? Whatever it is, stay away from telling yourself that you have wasted your time.

Instead, find a way to learn from it, and remember that everything happens for a reason. That statement is not only true about fairy tale love stories. It is also true of our failures. We have to find the reason why, and it will help us to grow as individuals. Remember to stay positive and always be open to learning about yourself. The answer may not be obvious right away, but that is why we must be persistent.

Take the time to learn from how your time was spent, and time will not be wasted.

*But what if you look in the mirror and think you are wasting your time right now?

Great! You are learning about yourself and may be realizing that you are not where you want to be in life, which in turn means you are not wasting your time at all.

You now need to find a way to get where you would like to be. It all comes down to realizing where you are at and then realizing where you would like to be. If where you are at now does not match where you would like to be, then what are you doing to make these two ends meet?

Stop wondering and start acting. Be proactive. Stay positive and you will see a difference. Make goals that will help you get where you want to be and have faith!

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and make the most out of the rest of your week.

Think Positive. Learn from Your Time.

Think Positive. Live Positive.
