This week, I simply want to give a shout out to some people who have been getting their Mind.Set.Go. on. Not only have these people repped their reminder, but they have done so while pushing their self, and for that, we have to acknowledge, congratulate, and thank them!
A couple of weeks ago, Brian Yee, Patrick Mackintosh, and Garrett Bernard repped their reminder in the Marine Corps Marathon. This pic of them 3 crossing the finish line is priceless!
Here is another pic of Brian and Garrett Post-Race. Yes, they just ran a marathon and look like they went for a walk in the park. As Garrett told me when I talked to him after his run, “We are competing against that mental dude saying Stop, Quit, It Hurts. And there is nothing like beating that dude.”
That’s the challenge we are all faced with throughout different points in our life. We are all able to push past that mental dude, yet many of us never attempt to beat that dude in fear of failure. Failure is just another word. It’s just another part of life. It’s a lesson, and it can be our friend with the right mindset.
If you are unaware of Team Hoyt, you need to go look up their story. These guys are true warriors and inspirations, and Garrett had the opportunity to meet them. They live by the motto, “Yes, You Can!” It’s a great way to live, and thanks for sharing this.
Next time you are doubting yourself, switch your mindset around and tell yourself you can do it. I promise the results will amaze you!
Next, we want to give a shout out and congrats to Nick Smith, who went up to see the Saints take on the Jets this past weekend, and figured he would run in a 5K while up there. He participated and successfully completed the ING New York City 5K! Thanks for reppin your reminder while participating in the Big Apple!
Here is Nick about to cross the finish line! After talking with Nick after his race, he seemed to have the marathon fever in his head. Well, we are going to hold Nick to that statement, and hopefully he will rep Mind.Set.Go. when he chooses to take on his first marathon. You can do it Nick. Don’t doubt yourself.
And last, but certainly not least, is our girl Katie Fisse, who sent this pic to me after one of her crossfit workouts! She gets it in at Metarie Crossfit and has also competed in a couple Crossfit Events! Thanks for Reppin your Reminder!
To this day, Mind.Set.Go. has been to the Marine Corps Marathon in D.C., Tough Mudder in Texas, ING New York City 5K/Marathon, Jazz Half Marathon in New Orleans, Tri-State Trek from Boston to Massachusetts, the MS 150 in Louisiana, and has even been in Metarie Crossfit!
Remember, it’s more than a shirt. It’s that constant reminder we all need from time to time.
As Steve Gleason once said,
“We all face adversity and tragedy, and need inspiration and motivation to Keep Rolling.”
Thank you for checking this out, and have a great rest of the week! You can order your reminder by clicking here.
