What are we called to do?
It’s a question that can take on a million different answers being that we all may be called to do different things throughout life. But there is one common aspect in which we should all agree that we are called to do, and that is to make a positive difference in one way or another.
Another week goes by, and yet here is another story in which a man has demonstrated the “Mind.Set.Go. Mentality” by making a positive difference in his community.
Take the time to watch this short video and listen to how one man was able to make a difference in the lives of others.
It’s about former Carencro High School graduate and long time wrestling coach, Greg Lavergne, who passed away nearly a year ago, but is being honored for his great contribution to his community in which he was a volunteer wrestling coach for over 30 years.
More than a wrestling coach, Mr. Greg Lavergne was a positive example of how we should attempt to live our life as he demonstrated that “Mind.Set.Go. Mentality” on a daily basis. His wife, Lorie, sums up what we are called to do when she speaks of her late husband.
“If you are given a talent or skill, to pay it forward in life. Always give. And give freely and don’t expect anything in return because that’s truly what we’re called to do. And that’s what he (Greg Lavergne) did . He always gave and never asked for anything in return.”
This week’s message is yet again simple:
Give to others. No matter what it may be. Your time, your effort, your skills, your knowledge, or whatever you have to offer. We all have something to offer. Whether it’s big or small, a lot or a little does not matter. It’s the simple act that makes the difference. Give now, and you will receive in the long run. Don’t take it from me. Take it from someone like Greg Lavergne.
Thank you for taking the time to check this out. I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and an even better weekend.
Think Positive. Give Freely.
Think Positive. Live Positive.
