502 Meals to be exact. That’s all we could scrape out the pot.

It was about 9:30 a.m. when we began to box the first meals. Little did we know we would be boxing meals for the next 2 and a half hours straight, cleaning out the very last of the pot at about 12:00 p.m.

The response was simply amazing. The help was phenomenal. The Volunteers exceeded expectations and came together, as a team, to hit our goal of 500 Meals.

Why?

It’s Simple.

To support a cause. To Give Back to a man who gives so much to others. To support Mr. Jay Rink and the many other people battling ALS. To take a little bit of action.

Mr. Jay himself came to help deliver meals!
Mr. Jay himself came to help deliver meals!

From the day I was able to meet Mr. Jay Rink and told him the Goal of A.L.S. for ALS, which was to physically deliver 500 Lunches for himself and others with ALS, I knew there would be plenty opportunity for us to come together as a team to support Mr. Jay and make an impact. I knew plenty volunteers would have to lend a hand. I knew the bar was set high. I also knew one other thing…..

I knew it was possible. I believed we could do it.

So yes, we delivered 500 Meals. But that number represents more than a number. It represents people coming together. It represents people who took action. It represents support for a community of people who battle ALS on a daily basis, including a man with the Will, the Focus, and Positive Mindset of that of Mr. Jay Rink.

And to have Mr. Jay take time out of his day to help deliver meals just sums up the quality of person he is.

So Mind.Set.Go. wants to give a huge Shoutout and Thanks to Mr. Jay Rink. Thank you for inspiring us, thank you for taking the time to lend a hand, and thank you for your support along the way. Thanks for allowing us all to get to know you and what you stand for.

Keep Rolling Mr. Jay!

As of last night, after adding in more donations……..

We are currently at $3,800 raised! I was also notified of more donations that are on the way as well, so once I get the more official number, I will be sure to keep everyone updated! To think that just on a Friday in August, we were able to come together and raise that amount of money just speaks for the power of the good that can happen when great people come together to support a meaningful cause. Amazing.

Thank You to everyone who ordered a meal, delivered a meal, helped spread the word, donated, or contributed to our efforts in any form of the word. It’s very much appreciated.

Next, I want to thank each Volunteer for collecting 500 Meals! Please take time to acknowledge each person!

Once you put your mind to something, then you can do it. It’s about having a Positive Attitude, and it’s what you choose. Our attitude is a choice, and it all depends on what you choose. But you have to want to do it. You have to have that desire. -Jay Rink
